Professor Dr. Fethi Güngör, Faculty Member of the Department of Social Services, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Yalova University, participated as a speaker in the “Family Communication Workshop” program organized at Çiftlikköy Şehit Abdülhamit Kaya Imam Hatip Middle School within the scope of the 2025 Family Year.
Within the framework of the 2025 Family Year, work continues in Yalova in line with the “Vision Document and Action Plan for the Protection and Empowerment of the Family (2024-2028)”. In this context, the “Family Communication Workshop” was held at Çiftlikköy Şehit Abdülhamit Kaya Imam Hatip Middle School in coordination with the Yalova Provincial Directorate of Family and Social Services and in collaboration with Yalova University.
Prof. Dr. Fethi Güngör, a lecturer at the Department of Social Services, Faculty of Human and Social Sciences, Yalova University, participated in the event as a speaker, sharing information with participants on family communication issues and providing practical training. It was stated that the program aimed to improve families' communication skills, strengthen family bonds, and contribute to the social awareness goals of the 2025 Family Year.
The workshop program offered participants practical training on effective communication techniques, methods for expressing feelings and thoughts in a healthy way, and strengthening family bonds. While aiming to strengthen communication between children and young people and their families, interactive activities were conducted on developing empathy, active listening skills, and methods for constructively resolving family conflicts.
