The Yalova University Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences' 2025-2026 Academic Year orientation program took place at the Mehmet Okul Congress and Culture Center with the participation of Rector Prof. Dr. Mehmet Bahçekapılı.
An orientation program was held for first-year students who were placed in the Social Work, History, Psychology, and New Media and Communication departments of the Yalova University Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences based on the 2025 Higher Education Institutions Exam (YKS) results. The program, which attracted considerable student interest, was attended by Yalova University Rector Prof. Dr. Mehmet Bahçekapılı, Vice Rectors Prof. Dr. Senay Yürür Karslıoğlu and Prof. Dr. Cahit Külekçi, and Assistant Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences Dr. Tahsin Eren Sayar.
"Welcome to the Yalova University Family"
The orientation program began with an opening speech by Rector Prof. Dr. Mehmet Bahçekapılı. He began his speech by saying, "Welcome to the Yalova University family." Dr. Mehmet Bahçekapılı stated that the administration always stands by the students and wishes them a productive four years. Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Senay Yürür Karslıoğlu then took the floor and introduced Yalova University, providing general information.
Following the official speeches, Rasim Tetik, Head of the Student Affairs Department; Mehmet Purtul, Head of the Culture Branch of the Health, Culture and Sports Department; and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sinem Ateş, Education and Training Coordinator in the Quality Unit, provided detailed explanations about the institution's operations, international exchange opportunities, cultural and artistic activities, and quality initiatives.
