Yalova University's 2025 Performance and Quality Awards Ceremony was held on March 3, 2026, at the Mehmet Okul Congress and Culture Center. The awards, determined by the University Senate's decision dated January 29, 2026, were presented to their recipients at the ceremony.
At the ceremony, organized to encourage academic and administrative achievements across our university, the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences won three awards in different categories. Professor Dr. Fethi Güngör, Faculty Member of the Department of Social Work, received the “Contribution to Education Award” for his contributions to the education and training activities carried out within the Department of Social Work. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Simel Parlak Erçelik, a faculty member of the Department of Psychology, was awarded second place in the category of academics with the most publications in the Scopus database in 2025 in the field of Social, Human, and Administrative Sciences. Finally, our faculty's administrative staff member Cihan Mert Özer has won the “Administrative Staff of the Year” award by demonstrating the highest performance at the faculty level according to the administrative staff survey results.
