Yalova University students achieved great success in the international "Global PR Challenge" competition held in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates. Yalova University, the only university from Turkey to participate, placed in the top three, bringing both Turkey and the university to the forefront of the world.
Sudenaz Merdin, a third-year student in the New Media and Communications Department, and her team won first prize for their AI-powered application, "One City, Many Voices." The application attracted attention for its innovative approach, bringing together people from different cultures in the same city.
Second place went to Eyüp Ensar Keskin and his team, a second-year student in the New Media and Communication Department at Yalova University. Their project, "The Ships of Culture," portrayed intercultural interaction through a symbolic journey, earning the jury's highest marks. Third place went to Moldir Zakırova and his team, a fourth-year student in the same department. Their project, "When in Sharjah, You Are Home," stood out with its concept that fosters a sense of belonging in visitors to the city.
The students who achieved great success by earning the top three places represented both Yalova University and Turkey in the best possible way. Speaking on the subject, the students emphasized that this success was not only a source of individual pride but also the immense joy of making their university, the esteemed professors who educated them, and their country known to the world.
