A Cyberbullying and Digital Violence Panel was held at Yalova University

A panel titled "Cyberbullying, Digital Violence, and Psychological Effects" was held in collaboration with faculty members from Yalova University's Department of New Media and Communication, the Communication Club, faculty members from the Department of Psychology, and the Psychology Club. The event, which was held with high participation, addressed the increasing types of violence in the digital world and the psychological effects of this situation on individuals.



Professor Dr. Esra Cizmeci Ümit, Associate Professor Dr. Sinem Baltacı, and Assistant Professor Dr. Neslihan Yaman participated in the panel as speakers. Expert academics in their fields shared important information about the definition, types, short and long-term effects of cyberbullying and digital violence on individuals' mental health, and ways to cope with these issues.

The panel highlighted the increased visibility of digital violence in recent years due to the widespread use of social media, while emphasizing the importance of raising awareness among young people and strengthening their psychological resilience.

The panel concluded with intense interest from students and academics, and at the end of the event, the speakers were thanked and presented with flowers.
