The 3rd International Yalova Film Festival, which aimed to bring a fresh breath of life to Yalova's cultural and artistic scene, had kicked off with a magnificent cortege march. Hosted by the Yalova Municipality, the opening of the 3rd International Yalova Film Festival took place following a cortege march from the City Museum to the 90th Year Indoor Sports Hall on Wednesday, September 30, with a program organized in the concert area. The opening speeches of the festival's first day were delivered by Yalova Mayor Mehmet Gürel, Yalova Governor Dr. Ahmet Hamdi Usta, Yalova University Rector Mehmet Bahçekapılı, and Festival Director Dr. Yasin Yılmaz. Following the protocol speeches, the music band Kolpa took the stage to celebrate the festival's grand opening, delivering an electrifying performance and creating tremendous enthusiasm among the people of Yalova.
Within the scope of the festival, film screenings, talks, panels, director meet-ups, and various events were organized. In programs held with the participation of prominent figures from diverse sectors of the film industry, experiences and insights were shared with the audience.
Running from September 30 to October 3, the festival hosted cinema enthusiasts at the movie theaters of Star Mall and Özdilek Mall, workshop participants at the Yalova University Faculty of Art and Design, and attendees following the panel discussions at the Yalova Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Special Screenings and Director Talks Held at Star Mall on the Final Day!
Attended by cinema and art enthusiasts, the 3rd International Yalova Film Festival entered its final day today after days packed with inspiring events. As the festival excitement continued unabated toward the closing curtain, screenings and director talks commenced at full speed as of 12:00 PM at Star Mall / Cinemapink BY Maximum theaters. The films and their directors meeting cinema lovers in the remarkable program of the final day were as follows:

- The Contact – Mert Erez

- Urfa Prison: The Demolition Of A Collective Memory – Ali Güzel
- Good Enough Not To Die – Erol Keyvan
Alongside the screenings, prominent figures and emerging talents of the film world gathered in Yalova. On this final day of the festival, esteemed directors including Bedirhan Karakurluk, Gizem İbak, Azmican Zengin, M. Çağrı Tüzün, Ali Güzel, Erol Keyvan, Cihan Emre Zengin, Lara Şenüren, Sevinç Aydoğan, Mustafa Uyduran, and Payam Shokohirad joined the event, meeting audiences one-on-one in special Q&A sessions held after their films, sharing their experiences, and answering questions.
